Mastercook Geert Van Hecke is one of the godfathers of Belgian gastronomy. He made De Karmeliet a household name and kept three stars there for no less than twenty years. Shortly after the closure, he opened the intimate Zet'Joe a little further on. The blood crawls where it can't go.

You seem to step into the chef's living room. The warm decor and rich collection of paintings immediately set the tone. Hostess Mireille is her charming self and serves the cheese cart with great skill.
