In the charming restaurant "De Vijf Seizoenen", brother and sister Jonas and Laurence Haegeman are at the stove, a duo who grew up among the pots and pans of their parents' restaurant. From a young age, they helped in the kitchen, where their passion for gastronomy was born.
Jonas initially dreamed of a career as an architect or graphic designer, but soon discovered he could unleash his creativity just as effectively in the kitchen. Step by step, he took cooking more seriously and developed a refined, gourmet style. Laurence followed a similar path: after her training at hotel school and an internship with Mastercook Frank Fol, she returned to the family kitchen, evolving from brasserie dishes to high-quality seasonal cuisine.
Although they are two opposites, Jonas and Laurence complement each other perfectly. Together they create a pure, light, and refined menu, where everything that grows and blooms takes center stage. With a strong preference for local seasonal products, they put vegetables in the leading role, without losing sight of taste or elegance.
The restaurant is rightly considered one of the best vegetable restaurants in Belgium and is even in the global top 100. Here, everything revolves around authenticity, craftsmanship, and a modern twist on classic techniques – a place where every bite is a tribute to nature.
Let "De Vijf Seizoenen" surprise you with a culinary experience where vegetables are the stars!
