Mastercook David Schulz, a philosopher, psychologist, and musician in a previous life, started as a self-taught chef and spent several years training at both small and large establishments.

In L’air de Sens, housed in a building from 1900 in the historic city center of Zoutleeuw, he presents a creative, light, contemporary cuisine for a maximum of 16 covers, inspired by the seasons and nature. Traditional dishes are given a different form or accent, where a scent, a taste, a feeling, a memory, or an encounter form the common thread. New techniques and insights sometimes help to sharpen these accents, play with textures, or capture flavors even better.
