The cuisine of Mastercook Jan Van den Bon is a reflection of his food culture and personality, founded in his youth by his parents who, as precursors of the current hype around balanced nutrition, were already concerned with what came home to the table.
Hailing from Mechelen, the quintessential vegetable region, the overwhelming use of vegetables – some of which he grows himself – in his cooking style is simply second nature to him. Each vegetable receives a distinct, carefully crafted preparation method that best highlights its specific taste and textural qualities.
